engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
5 V& b, [& G" z, ~) h% Z2 ~processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
+ F* P2 y) k) i30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
/ Y# ~1 [. c3 s' R  d( T3 m( k" k' a' Sgives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
one autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
0 Y2 L8 S; K  g3 t3 M+ a( k- f/ ^4 |three "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
+ J/ d# K6 t( t- g3 h8 d0 Qvariety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
+ S! [/ s3 f% O& d- Plocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
. y5 r( j& {2 C5 f. l2 q2 f% adump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?

% X3 m4 `4 p  @) b' ~2 [+ y    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
1 \  L  p0 B1 E, ]* wpad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
: j1 ^- E) p  q0 u; `) Isimply push a button to re-align when switching tape
! Z7 T: _" d& `1 L8 O( ~formulations.
( I* Q( q) A8 W; a' y0 V9 z$ k     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
9 B9 `) M2 j. `) Yelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
  s7 M4 y8 Q) q) W& z- ^transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
4 x! }( v0 k7 u( z2 D3 Mlinearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
& @1 i. I; l) S2 ^9 g, ebetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
heads auido/code crosstalk of better
than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
compensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
audio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)
     If you'd like computer control of an these functions,
0 ?; [: p7 K' J! I2 N3 _' }simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)

We suggest you contact your Studer representative for
details. (?) we've packed a lot more (?) one small
package, but (?) you'll find that the Studer A810 is
the most versatile, most practical, most usable audio
