   With the new A810, Studer makes a quantum leap
forward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
re-states the art of analog audio recording.
; @7 D9 W( J' T9 ^5 d   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
. n' {6 y7 U% [% j1 S9 xthe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
) N* M( l1 D1 H/ |9 u3 rengineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
1 |- Y' b/ B: `. E0 V% G" Fprocessor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
+ @2 G8 ^4 u; P# z5 ?at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
one autolocate position are always at hand.
& d7 x, Z+ X4 q9 e3 |* O7 M; Q8 X. F   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
three "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
locate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
$ T- ~; j% F. d' _/ J" Y( ?4 W$ Qdump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
! L: C$ e% W$ Q( q& ^program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
+ a  Q+ Z6 U2 |. Z  v- P- W5 Vre-program it later for another use.
+ @2 o, t" L/ |- [- O5 V6 x    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
6 H+ v7 W, a* B2 C& E/ sparameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
) R% r) h, Z. ^6 M' r2 Ipad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
formulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
* a' A$ o( q% Uelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
$ S: Z+ [. r" v7 `& `% ntransformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
6 ?6 f7 w6 b5 b( q- n  W: `# J* ?linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
& O0 l8 u& j" Z: ?5 |offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
; Q, `2 r. W- p# n( Lbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
0 M1 H( P( _" ]heads auido/code crosstalk of better
6 F" i& r# E1 ?than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
compensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
) L+ O1 z9 j1 M: h- f% e- X) T$ Raudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)

the most versatile, most practical, most usable audio
recorder you can buy.
