   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with

engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
  [2 u: d# \8 Fcapabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
1 n( Y6 b/ s" t4 fprocessor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
$ F4 Y1 L7 I5 P: i. n9 Z) s1 H7 s* Jgives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
& b. S, v. }! Q( A$ \& {one autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
three "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
locate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
2 r5 a- O$ v  f; V, q7 wdump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
; F3 C9 T' Y" y( C) M9 d) Gre-program it later for another use.

( c1 ]- @$ g9 Y/ G: Dparameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
6 {4 H+ z$ V' G- y0 T- L$ g& spad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
- G+ }) D0 F  A; b, Q: D: S. k9 M& |programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
formulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
, h# F' q& I0 C, u+ |  E% G# f1 Selectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
, J- {2 m2 O0 Gtransformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
' d" j# u# k; B& m: ]linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
/ L" j  o/ t0 S( n+ w# Woffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
9 \4 S* b- C. k! m5 a# A* W7 W- jbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code

, u4 X! X+ T8 V4 gthan 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically

audio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
