forward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
re-states the art of analog audio recording.
) I3 l# @: _1 F% C2 F, P1 l; |   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
the latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
' n( E8 T) `* L5 ~7 x! vengineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
% ]% U& }9 b% _& F- u0 ~processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
, z  ~* Q8 z0 p9 L% K# ione autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
three "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
) `1 j7 C; t! b; o7 R9 {variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
& d6 B# f; q% {! elocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
/ o2 s+ y! Q0 b& D" t- Y6 M' }5 |$ jdump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
' X$ M4 I% g! ^9 U# Z% N5 w* ]program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
$ X) X% M; a! [- W- ?& J8 ~: Ypad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
+ s* o) g0 H+ ]programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
' ]/ |( E; ^* ~  dformulations.
2 [1 w; c  B. B, H( }3 S     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
$ H. D& `) d" h- X3 l2 I; yelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
4 d3 r6 Y+ e8 V/ Xphase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
3 Y) }2 l  {/ m     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
8 M. V) e! h" M7 hoffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
% ?$ _/ ]) a( Z& h* q2 t2 mbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
$ F4 V; H- X+ e7 R7 y; R0 ^% `heads auido/code crosstalk of better
! }  ~; E: f( K- x1 ~) Fthan 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
; D5 p: U1 S* {0 f, _- hcompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
audio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
