   With the new A810, Studer makes a quantum leap
forward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
re-states the art of analog audio recording.
9 t0 k9 e& ]3 S. Z7 K' m) _% A5 G+ O   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
; Z) Q8 s9 n% p  u) Xthe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
+ q& `5 `* T' c( Y" g! t) Bprocessor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
* G# p+ t* a& U0 `$ `6 h3 |: zat all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
" t; B( _) }6 X& {5 Y+ xone autolocate position are always at hand.
: Z( d5 o( p% Q2 @. k" ^3 b0 m6 @   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
three "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
  P' f6 N/ y, O# c/ Zvariety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
locate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
6 B0 J4 Y0 N, N5 [, Y4 o! R4 }re-program it later for another use.
4 Y4 T, w* `- w, Z' t    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
pad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
2 x# c' O9 B" n/ Z% g8 o8 hprogramming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
formulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
electronics with our choice of either transformerless or
' r' C& d1 j4 M5 W/ @7 Wtransformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
" |& U, j/ ]* X, }% F$ P' ~quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
" K8 K7 S' H  y" K     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
between stereo audio channels. Separate time code
: P" i: y) _6 G& Fheads auido/code crosstalk of better
than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
5 V) t$ Z, t2 S1 g* xcompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
; r+ p* a$ [3 D2 ]. r6 C( Iaudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
