re-states the art of analog audio recording.
   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
! }, {5 P$ S0 k  [the latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
2 \9 Z! q' V7 n4 N, Pcapabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
8 U4 s8 i8 M, p$ [( n  F9 Oprocessor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
6 x( F( c4 t6 r- L# j. p0 C30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
; P5 z8 k% I# ?/ D" v1 k# eat all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
. y8 d# V* B. cone autolocate position are always at hand.
8 i) i9 m! |7 \: I( z. C8 X   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
three "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
' r' C/ n1 W( V5 I# T% I% o" Xlocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
4 m* l. I4 U/ c. A3 _7 b& ~4 m: }( Kprogram your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
pad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
formulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
% d& e3 F4 c- f- k3 Welectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
- ~: l' ?  `% Z! ?8 o3 o* Mtransformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
* k5 m0 _7 z$ c9 Z  D: ?: O     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
" H* D4 A* u$ M2 P4 K6 B/ x6 lbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
2 z$ i8 g) c# E6 lheads auido/code crosstalk of better
0 W  ?1 }+ U1 ]than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
compensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
9 D- e$ w6 a: i; Vaudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)
