   With the new A810, Studer makes a quantum leap
forward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
0 S' |/ t, a( Y" a# Nre-states the art of analog audio recording.
4 M. @4 b: \2 z  A3 M4 |   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
the latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
! H: N6 w! k" n; J" @7 ?8 D- {processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
# E) ^6 B& p7 [# _0 {, R* Qgives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
* u  B9 }. h" y/ G. O! K5 Y8 Oat all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
7 @: s$ v* L6 v9 y- I+ U" Xone autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
% c5 ?/ e+ ]6 R0 z6 vthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
locate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
2 W0 X1 D6 d2 C( }' v2 {4 v% g6 b# fprogram your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
! d) r' Q9 [# P, W6 T! Fparameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
pad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
( M( @. C& G- N  o' Uformulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
electronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
" G2 @6 y+ ]8 M6 \$ s$ \phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
* J" F  ?: p: u! t( Z2 {linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
  N; D" F$ X: ~0 y& o' D  _     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
, m4 r. d6 ]* moffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
& S$ ^& H  V; xbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
heads auido/code crosstalk of better
7 F$ _2 b& Q/ x% y) Bthan 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
compensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
+ l/ P7 B$ m4 A) |& {4 U! N3 Eaudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)
