   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with

9 K4 n: A# Q# G, B5 P: Oengineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
8 U; Z9 n# g( Jcapabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
4 J- h2 [6 ~  f( M30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
one autolocate position are always at hand.
2 Z! K& c. q( b! _% g# Z( C) @   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
three "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
; O) v1 i- C. a' xlocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
1 B: |3 [$ F0 V8 P. kdump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
0 Y  j4 l8 v. s8 Q4 C6 f/ b& \program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?

parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
5 ?0 L9 ^4 g6 F$ B) K1 }* Bpad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
- \- H* |- f4 _& Bprogramming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
- ~: F/ _9 {4 f8 P: F  fformulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
electronics with our choice of either transformerless or
2 \5 Z% m  n. w, b  W: gtransformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
+ a  @% c' i" F" ]1 S( |$ ylinearity. The new transport control servo system responds
- [; G  g/ V; [  [& S) H3 iquickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
