* J  @6 r" i+ cre-states the art of analog audio recording.
   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
) g9 _) H/ u6 M# u2 ]5 ?9 [- ythe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
( S+ l0 ]1 x/ N8 F5 d4 P$ F* Sprocessor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
$ q+ g: I; V2 h+ \. K$ @1 jat all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
one autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
2 Y1 {9 h" I, ~: rthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
- u5 m5 `" m$ j* Z" c+ G- llocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
- N; t- f( Y. z& O7 _& t) x# a' \dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
4 i: ?4 g$ b! s, Ipad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
: h: q  b! g6 ~. c' L: F4 aprogramming alignments into the A810's memory, you
0 k0 g5 K8 z4 q) Q# o1 Zsimply push a button to re-align when switching tape
* k# M- y* k5 X8 z7 a+ sformulations.
. [6 g9 I" ]2 M     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
' [/ b/ n& o- q" ]5 xelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
2 s8 _4 b' ?  U  W" k- zbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
8 w& ~7 C: H" N+ Vheads auido/code crosstalk of better
than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
% l7 }7 J9 X$ c3 ]# Z) scompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
$ u9 U/ ^( M( l; @. W- @( x! Xaudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
