   With the new A810, Studer makes a quantum leap
! c9 x9 w3 ]$ L. l" B8 Z: Nforward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
! q( V' K/ e; a  t" q: u. g( @re-states the art of analog audio recording.
   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
# u; |/ o& E, D) x+ a6 ~- l3 a. rthe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
! S$ V3 n3 Q7 U; J- kengineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
; M* \3 }" f% K  G6 M, lcapabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
7 e% Z2 i' ]* U7 Qone autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
' v  q( P* F6 S6 Cthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
6 y3 i3 o+ l/ \) a, Zlocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
* x7 F& Q( g2 C7 }3 j) y8 gdump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
5 t- M, Q$ K. c3 r/ Oprogram your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
3 Z" H3 q" d: U) p6 y. D% r    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
; i$ O6 C& i8 |5 M' iparameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
# b9 |. e1 C1 I) i0 _pad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
4 U# z# R8 e) q: i+ Ysimply push a button to re-align when switching tape
formulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
( C; z& t& i5 u" T6 W9 o8 kelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
7 D7 o/ C7 C8 n4 \( ^phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
/ s/ x7 o9 L2 Y: s6 Z( t: @linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
$ w# N1 x/ w% V* |* P4 u, X- l2 W0 ^/ ?     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
between stereo audio channels. Separate time code
heads auido/code crosstalk of better
& V. U. c: K2 Z. I$ ^3 g- [than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
, `2 v7 Q, j/ i' F. Acompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
audio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

package, but (?) you'll find that the Studer A810 is
the most versatile, most practical, most usable audio
recorder you can buy.
