   With the new A810, Studer makes a quantum leap
- `! d$ X+ |. i. e5 tforward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
re-states the art of analog audio recording.
) i5 D' F1 V$ Q   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
% h$ c3 M1 V! ]7 jthe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
' N1 n6 S; _8 p) Zcapabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
, r9 d( L+ N* K" [% V6 L7 Z! aat all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
$ c! G% z1 f( F' U/ ?3 l! V* ?. B% qone autolocate position are always at hand.
/ b" z. j( x  T/ _9 q1 V: m' d   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
% p8 T  Y! e" z9 r$ J' n' vthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
6 A, U. @, U; G  {8 V8 ^locate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
; d& @$ ^: H( F1 Z$ O# ^re-program it later for another use.
    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
0 @2 V& `# N7 y. V6 M. npad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
7 L/ x1 D: P4 T0 Y' n) A) {& Y# fformulations.
3 r9 [1 M$ E4 H% Q     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
% A- C3 k* @* b! Q) [electronics with our choice of either transformerless or
0 C: U% D: p2 C6 s( Z- o3 Jtransformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
9 A0 H/ y  W- P  ?, _$ \3 Wquickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
/ Y- `5 ]% Q9 I* I% `, L2 D     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
7 O! Z& I7 p; a$ _4 K2 G5 d) r: Cbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
& |% n: i  c5 z* s" u; [heads auido/code crosstalk of better
! M" g  h9 K) h: y* G, d+ B- U+ tthan 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
% V  t! M/ W8 \6 `3 F5 l0 S% }* Ncompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
audio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)
