forward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it

   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
9 l3 v/ O5 P7 b$ o0 ^5 ithe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
5 ~8 G. p+ G9 o6 Q  Acapabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
7 G* A  n; Y, T) O1 K30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
' t8 P4 T' x0 s: Z5 w/ x6 I; m4 d, Fat all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
( X& x  h$ ?7 G4 `" wone autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
- Q  @/ e9 C& K# Q1 N  c# G/ bthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
& `0 u. p8 H; ], d8 S. glocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
0 Z9 Q$ j) Q( R5 r5 Ydump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
) u+ s# {+ B4 u7 D$ a. _9 P) n    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
2 k" ~$ k8 ^8 o0 l$ B- X; Jpad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
2 l( w( b% B% Q& H+ cprogramming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
formulations.
! x; h) E% }6 y( ^" A     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
7 R9 M- p1 x' g& i. n( uelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
/ H8 p/ m7 _0 c$ B- yphase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
6 }# g9 n5 g! i4 f! a& g  olinearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
6 S! q, A, ~+ ]/ p; y     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
between stereo audio channels. Separate time code
heads auido/code crosstalk of better
9 Z- |  P; |, a6 rthan 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
compensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
' a' M' Y$ Z7 r1 y2 C3 ^5 naudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
