   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
" N: _* Q& z, z  c4 Dthe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
' P, n6 h! p9 nengineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
6 `1 P/ Q4 V$ p3 v+ y9 lcapabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
& X+ ~* \0 S! d/ O1 Q8 U4 h* @6 g6 J30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
one autolocate position are always at hand.
4 B% O% |) A# A3 t% J: E2 E7 b   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
three "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
9 p2 w, p* Z- l2 `3 Jvariety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
9 U! o8 t  K/ F4 }locate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
8 r' J7 m2 q& s9 K% |/ ~program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
1 M2 x$ K% O5 |  ?+ W    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
; ~4 Z8 x9 D' A7 _) zparameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
, f6 l" N: V1 c9 o5 Epad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
2 }# B& [  v" fsimply push a button to re-align when switching tape
2 q3 a$ ^# |3 b. O  J" ]formulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
electronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
0 J/ X! t( h! G6 X2 b) g$ d     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
& y- i& J- f+ W( M$ H/ Dbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
0 [7 w! \/ R2 xheads auido/code crosstalk of better
: m! Y5 b( X/ \7 i' F. m  [than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
% c; K; F: _; |. H' Y& l5 Gcompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
( p1 C& u  \+ w( uaudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)
