forward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it

the latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented

processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
4 m6 B+ c0 q4 t" ]0 z# q30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
) ^8 J) s2 T1 D  q& Cgives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
1 O3 o+ c9 Y2 @# hone autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
/ V8 G" l* |1 @" d& O* v* O/ cthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
8 b$ p2 m2 B, [3 Hvariety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
7 C$ M/ i2 s" S! k1 E& Ylocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
% w. p: r/ k2 ?* l! ]5 H& O$ o* mprogram your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
( C: `% U# O* P, q9 l& D2 g6 y8 n    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
, \! j0 j- }! P. z( v5 ?; ipad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
- [" G: [4 N% J7 f( I/ X& Q# }, {programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
) {5 \  }! O+ _simply push a button to re-align when switching tape

electronics with our choice of either transformerless or
/ d( F  Q( _0 ]' vtransformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
# i* |1 D7 W6 s; e# U+ T. qphase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
4 K3 G/ Z0 c) q4 ]between stereo audio channels. Separate time code
heads auido/code crosstalk of better
; o" r8 b5 ~* ?6 {8 [: f) L$ bthan 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
; [0 E1 m8 V( x  C: v9 o; Jcompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
( c& G- u: u4 A/ w, Iaudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)
