+ e! k! s3 l( fforward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it

   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
) S1 c; k. g& _$ S5 O  F1 M8 Kthe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
- w3 _6 [, C/ U- Z. @- i" ?; w2 vprocessor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
  n: s8 k" d* {8 X% b- ^/ ~30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
  q8 T0 y2 }3 V3 dgives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
2 ?& v2 p2 j0 _6 \4 P. lone autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
& D# I0 w! Y; S4 m2 r' Zthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
  e' X5 t! r1 v0 L0 mlocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
% X: Z. E# ^& M4 `dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
9 Y& O/ V8 w* ?1 _program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
: {9 M( h# L! J  U2 x, \* c4 V0 Tre-program it later for another use.
    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
) y& A1 h- M, s9 zpad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
& ?% V6 Y/ y$ i; W4 Oprogramming alignments into the A810's memory, you
1 G" r7 f' `1 A" Isimply push a button to re-align when switching tape
formulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
+ _2 p( T+ L5 t8 b  U  h4 x- felectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
" x1 Z5 v5 z6 Dphase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
; D7 `  p4 {9 d3 \) Uquickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
! m6 ?" H" J# F6 v* _, F/ z     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
# T; y  y7 C  i: Woffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track

" L/ H0 r7 k& y- G* Pthan 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
/ M* d/ B/ Y" `8 s+ [% Vcompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
audio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)
