   With the new A810, Studer makes a quantum leap
forward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
re-states the art of analog audio recording.
2 n$ M/ W; P( x   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
9 ]$ B/ o+ {5 [: d- Rthe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
5 k( u6 j$ j1 u$ s" tgives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
one autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
& x- t* x; A2 y+ O) M9 ithree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
% P2 V! u6 O: H1 Dvariety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
locate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
" k  p. `3 }$ b6 hprogram your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
% R( f- l9 I) r6 v    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
+ p  m1 x8 G  k8 d0 vpad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
3 T& w+ {+ ?2 f! U7 dprogramming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
' S# q& {! [" Iformulations.
" z! z. i0 S6 Q4 Z. n5 R" F; v     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
0 J6 @* \8 \; W( M. C1 C/ A2 zelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
3 i7 Y: A7 G2 ^3 _linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
, P1 I' Z2 w3 k7 S+ ~* U0 Gquickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
1 E0 D6 M* r( soffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
8 O; A1 M# _. K7 {% c) X- P1 C5 zbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
& D$ E  ~* I# o% K6 m) ^6 ]5 Fheads auido/code crosstalk of better
than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
compensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
' C) E4 C4 N( K, }# iaudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)
     If you'd like computer control of an these functions,
simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
