; y5 L& G/ ~" ?1 [) Y3 Aat all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
one autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
- T2 N$ ?- p: f7 }2 j0 Uthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
locate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
. H- d# z' P& ]3 {, Cprogram your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
& [$ ^# b/ n( Y) Lre-program it later for another use.
    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
4 x3 T6 L) J9 ]  F) C' O, Gpad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
0 @9 Q7 U' c* W+ C+ ~formulations.
1 h! y& J3 ?9 I" c     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
1 C& _+ E) t* Z. y2 Ielectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
' n. g5 z$ y1 e3 N7 K8 Yphase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
linearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
" ]3 w  P+ {* Q, g- v- J     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
offers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
; S$ d3 [) y: ^3 u% j# Nbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
! H8 i# }8 ~* p: C2 P* x6 iheads auido/code crosstalk of better
( R% m; g  P. N! Qthan 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
compensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
2 P0 L1 M2 c) x% p" |audio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)
