the latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has

) L& K. {' N  W, dcapabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
one autolocate position are always at hand.
* a; q1 b+ }, ?# @+ F! q+ T   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
three "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
) u7 Z& C5 Q& alocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
- k1 G' p$ W9 m0 \& A4 n3 z, ~dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
/ V9 L* j* g) N, m( B2 b4 X0 n$ B* F! Uprogram your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
! l! q, N; `0 b* z  m+ @  ^re-program it later for another use.
( j" |5 r, S8 J$ U8 g& A    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
; h& g  q6 }, `/ i  Jparameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
9 O$ w7 v5 X9 w7 q# {pad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
2 I5 l7 M/ f  B0 V( s* N% Bprogramming alignments into the A810's memory, you
simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
/ T. y, w. q6 K4 eformulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
2 D+ d, q4 P# s7 ~9 z9 O7 Jelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
0 k& F  S% f& P. M6 d1 |9 {transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
! p  H) n- w) U7 K5 qphase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
5 Q+ Y& Y* S% E$ R7 z% H  Klinearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
; ]. O0 F, x& q( M# D3 B     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
0 E# V% u) ]' [  v  P% A) s- E* N8 ioffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
between stereo audio channels. Separate time code
: n3 A% ?: b: J+ Nheads auido/code crosstalk of better
than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
compensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
audio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
Except you only the "4" tape. (?)

with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)

We suggest you contact your Studer representative for
details. (?) we've packed a lot more (?) one small
package, but (?) you'll find that the Studer A810 is
the most versatile, most practical, most usable audio
recorder you can buy.
