7 k; g3 O: h# O4 W3 kforward in audio recorder technology. Quite simply, it
- Y4 i, `: X3 |; q, R+ Vre-states the art of analog audio recording.
   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
7 r# P. q$ y) q) S0 d7 B. k. a1 zthe latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has
engineered an audio recorder with unprecedented
capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
processor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to
30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
8 K& v! c( d0 X" l+ U2 Eone autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
. u% K! m0 V* e6 S0 C9 ^2 [0 ]* x+ Jthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
" w, K8 e3 _* F8 h- e4 avariety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
' H+ c2 V) @4 \, ]7 U, w' Tlocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
* O' N) v. W9 ?* V' d& P, L4 l) Sprogram your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
- F4 }, u6 F5 y* Vre-program it later for another use.
    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
: Q7 X& Q" R% e/ R0 z4 m, @parameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
" z7 E* O! a2 o+ U4 Npad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
% X0 L4 F# ~: F' p( tprogramming alignments into the A810's memory, you
1 W3 L& h6 P6 T4 q1 C( J% }, J; ksimply push a button to re-align when switching tape
) M6 }$ U' c$ bformulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
electronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
6 ^  s$ T( k6 |phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
$ U& `6 l! a7 ?8 H9 mlinearity. The new transport control servo system responds
" d& [7 \( k1 D; I2 U/ i2 yquickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
* j1 u' o  \  E, joffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
between stereo audio channels. Separate time code
heads auido/code crosstalk of better
than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
7 W9 B' S- D! ]4 n1 bcompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
$ R5 k( m4 M( A2 N7 Daudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.

     If you'd like computer control of an these functions,
simply order the optinal serial interface, the comp (?)
with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)
