   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with
the latest microprocessor control systems, Studer has

capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-
- N( Y& r& d- y/ ^2 Z, v& Uprocessor controlled, and all four tape speeds (3.75 to

7 A7 c: H' n) D4 othree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
variety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more

dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?

9 h, _0 u" X- t0 ^8 I7 aparameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
5 ~5 o* G& |: P  Q! [  ppad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
$ J$ M4 H0 }2 _7 b, bprogramming alignments into the A810's memory, you
/ N% l+ H$ Z' r8 qsimply push a button to re-align when switching tape

, ^. j- K, ^1 [) k/ P0 V) `- \     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
electronics with our choice of either transformerless or
transformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
phase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
  h3 E+ ?; ]" h7 R/ dlinearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
" t* }- f& F* V& I9 D6 J9 z     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
, @4 i/ u0 U: I# soffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
0 j$ e7 y- ^" j. l3 p+ I" v( G1 nbetween stereo audio channels. Separate time code
  G% T, S# z% _/ t5 H0 ]heads auido/code crosstalk of better
than 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
compensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
' T+ I2 i" _; i5 Saudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.

     If you'd like computer control of an these functions,

with RS232, RS422, and RS422 modified (??)
