   With the new A810, Studer makes a quantum leap

re-states the art of analog audio recording.
   By combining traditional Swiss craftsmanship with

capabilities. All transport functions are totally micro-

30 ips) are front panel selectable. The digital readout
gives real time indication ( + or - in hrs, min, and sec.)
at all speeds, including vari-speed. A zero locate and
  D. Q9 c" O' ^* x1 r3 z& u! F% J3 s; fone autolocate position are always at hand.
   That's only the beginning. The A810 also provides
* B7 L3 A- M$ h( W1 C- Bthree "soft keys" which may be user programmed for a
  ]" }3 g& X/ U3 ]: X! cvariety of operating features. It's your choice: Three more
  s: c; d# w! J, t; t  U: k- klocate positions, Start locate, Pause, Fader start, Tape
4 Z7 @! U+ M6 i6 ^( r4 ^dump, Remote ready, Time code enable. You can
, L3 a7 m: v* |" \program your A810 for one specaillized application, ?
re-program it later for another use.
, C* R& w. Z; H% \' I    There's more. Electronic alignment of audio
6 U# ]2 ~  f2 z) lparameters (bias, level, EQ) is accomplished via digital
pad networs. (Tripots have been eliminated.) After
programming alignments into the A810's memory, you
$ R, V& y2 k% g/ ?1 h' P8 N/ `simply push a button to re-align when switching tape
$ [' f0 l- Q1 c3 `formulations.
     The A810 also introduces a new generation of audio
7 p* A3 k* l! z6 {4 V5 P2 Q% P8 oelectronics with our choice of either transformerless or
3 s% v% }% A  T& y, m6 M* P4 Ctransformer balanced in/out cards. Both offer advanced
2 O8 [  A$ `, Ophase compensation circuits for unprecedented phase
& C1 H# I: O8 ?; c! Hlinearity. The new transport control servo system responds
quickly, runs cool, and offers four spooling speeds.
7 _' q3 w% g0 E* d& n* _; h     Everything so far is standard. As an option, The A810
- i/ S; b7 _  Z4 f, J$ G4 c9 Voffers time-coincident SMPTE code on a center track
between stereo audio channels. Separate time code
* t! v, y+ q# m2 w* M9 gheads auido/code crosstalk of better
( [( Q# Y. j0 h: lthan 90 dB, while a normal digital delay automatically
& b6 N9 q4 G% z3 u# `* N( Tcompensates for the tape offset at all speeds. Code and
+ r  I4 w& b& kaudio always come out together, just (?) on your 4 (?) track.
